St Anthony Redoubt Canon Fortress the only one in Gozo which was used to blow any pirate ships crossing between Gozo and Comino. There is another one on Comino facing Malta. The Qala council started to slowly fixing it although the work is progressing very slow and it is still falling to pieces.

Il-Qawra also called Inland Sea in Dwejra is a Unesco Heritage Site. In the same depression we find the Qattara water pools which lots of migratory winter birds use. Some birds like the Cory’s Shearwater, Yelkouan Shearwater, the Blue Rock Thrush and Spectacled Warbler prefer this secluded areas with low scrub and sometimes they nest in the area. Also the Zitting Cisticola is found in the area.

Walking towards Qala you will find the early 1900 quarries used to cut boulders for the Grand Harbour in Malta. The area is full fossils millions of years old. Gozo's Stonehenge between Wied il-Mielah and Wied Ghasri. Here you find two structures next to each other and another structure further up towards Ta Gordan Hill. In the top structure you find a cave which was part of the structure. Scattered monoliths are everywhere in the area. Most probably the whole complex was used for moon rituals.
